My professional background spans technology, accounting, and finance, with experience in non-profit and healthcare settings, experiences that have shaped my analytical approach and deepened my understanding of complex systems and the people within them. I am currently working toward my Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) certification.
I am drawn to counseling by a strong interest in how identity, culture, and lived experience shape mental health and healing. My therapeutic approach draws from Adlerian and feminist frameworks, integrating evidence-based modalities such as CBT, DBT, and EMDR. I strive to create a collaborative, affirming space where clients feel seen, understood, and empowered.
I am particularly interested in working with multicultural and LGBTQ+ individuals, and those navigating trauma. I also hope to contribute to research focused on effective mental health interventions for multicultural queer communities.
Outside of my professional life, I’m an avid reader. Roots by Alex Haley and The Midnight Library by Matt Haig are two of my favorites. I also enjoy music across a range of genres, including classical, R&B, blues, and pop. I spend a considerable amount of my time in nature. I practice self-care by taking a walk or reading a physical book at a park surrounded by trees, flowers and other plants.
Bridging cultures, identities, and pathways to healing.
